Toronto Paramedic Services welcomes paramedics at 11th Annual Ontario Tour Paramedic Ride finish line

This afternoon, Toronto Paramedic Services Chief Bikram Chawla and members of Toronto Paramedic Services will welcome 42 paramedics arriving on bikes to conclude the 11th annual Ontario Tour Paramedic Ride. The event will include a ceremony to mark the end of the four-day, 500-kilometre journey from Ottawa to Toronto.

Date: Monday, September 23

Time: 3:30 p.m.

Location: Queen’s Park, 110 Wellesley St. W.

Note: The ceremony will take place outside of the main entrance of the building, marked by a canopy and podium.

The ride aims to raise awareness and funds for the creation of the Canadian Paramedic Monument to honour paramedics who have lost their lives in the line of duty, as well as charitable organizations supporting mental health initiatives for first responders and their family members.

The closing ceremony for this year’s ride will include a commemoration of paramedics who have died in the line of duty, as well as remarks from Chief Chawla, Toronto Paramedic Association representative Brian Annett and Peel Regional Paramedic Services paramedic Paul Carson.
