City of Toronto activities and facilities open and closed on the Easter long weekend
Some City of Toronto activities, operations and facilities will be closed or operating on modified hours during the Easter long weekend, which runs Friday, April 3, through Monday, April 6. Below is what is open and closed this weekend.
Garbage collection and recycling
Drop-off depots and transfer stations will be closed on Monday, April 6. There will be regular collection service for daytime and nighttime residential and commercial customers on Friday, April 3. More information is available on the City’s Holiday Collection & Drop-Off Depot Impacts webpage: www.toronto.ca/holiday-impacts.
Community centres
All community recreation facilities will be closed on Friday, April 2 and Monday, April 6. Activities and services will operate as usual on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5. More information and schedules are available on the City’s Parks & Recreation webpage: www.toronto.ca/parks-recreation.
Inquiry and payment counters
Inquiry and payment counters at Toronto City Hall, East York Civic Centre, Etobicoke Civic Centre, North York Civic Centre, Scarborough Civic Centre and York Civic Centre will be closed from Friday, April 3 until Monday, April 6, reopening on Tuesday, April 7.
Cultural centres and art galleries
Cedar Ridge Creative Centre and Clark Centre for the Arts are closed on Friday, April 3 and Monday, April 6. The sites are open on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Assembly Hall will be closed on Friday, April 3, open on Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed on Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6.
The Etobicoke Civic Centre Art Gallery and Ascent Gallery will be closed on Friday April 3, open on Saturday, April 4 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., closed on Sunday, April 5 and on Monday April 6. St. Lawrence Market
The St. Lawrence Market District will have modified hours of operation for the long weekend.
St. Lawrence Market South will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6. It will be open on Saturday, April 4, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Saturday Farmers’ Market will operate during usual hours at St. Lawrence Market North on Saturday, April 4, from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Animal Attractions
The Toronto Zoo will be open daily, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guests can say hello to more than 3,000 animals including five-week-old female giraffe calf, Imara, and browse the Spring Marketplace with more than 50 vendors. More information is available on the Toronto Zoo website.
The High Park Animal Display will be open daily, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Visitors should note that roads in the park will be closed to vehicular traffic on weekends and public holidays, however, several TTC routes and lines connect directly to the park. More information is available on the City’s Zoos & Farms webpage.
Riverdale Farm will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Admission is free. More information is available on the City’s Riverdale Farm web page.
Toronto Island Park
Ferries to Ward’s Island will follow the regular passenger service winter schedule throughout the holiday weekend. As part of ongoing infrastructure improvements at the Jack Layton Ferry Terminal, vehicle ferry service will be suspended from Thursday, April 2 through Tuesday, April 7. The ferry schedule and access to the portal to purchase ferry tickets is available on the City’s website: www.toronto.ca/all-ferry-schedules. Ferry service will switch to the spring schedule beginning April 8.
Toronto Public Library
Toronto Public Library (TPL) branches will be closed on Friday, April 3, Sunday, April 5 and Monday, April 6.

TPL cardholders can download and stream eBooks, eAudiobooks, magazines, newspapers, movies and music at any time by visiting the TPL downloads webpage: www.tpl.ca/downloads.
Conservatories
Allan Gardens and Centennial Park conservatories will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. More information about these conservatories is available on the City’s website: www.toronto.ca/conservatories.
Toronto History Museums
Toronto History Museums will be closed on Friday, April 3. Sites are open on Saturday, April 4 and Sunday, April 5 and are closed on Monday, April 6. More information and visiting hours are available on the Toronto History Museums webpage: www.toronto.ca/museums.
