City of Toronto to raise Toronto Blue Jays flag ahead of home opener

The City of Toronto will raise the Toronto Blue Jays flag at Toronto City Hall to celebrate the baseball teams highly anticipated home opener as the Jays get ready to take flight against the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, March 27.

Date: Wednesday, March 26
Time: 12:30 p.m.
Location: Courtesy flagpole, Podium Roof, City Hall, 100 Queen Street W.

The ceremony will feature remarks from Mayor Olivia Chow along with special appearances by Ace, the Blue Jays’ beloved mascot and members of J FORCE, the teams high-energy entertainment squad.

Local baseball fans are encouraged to wear their Blue Jays gear and join the celebration. To mark the occasion, the Toronto Sign at Nathan Phillips Square will be illuminated in blue and white on Thursday, March 27.
