City of Toronto to reopen the historic Allan Gardens Conservatory Palm House
Tomorrow, Mayor Olivia Chow, Councillor Chris Moise (Toronto Centre) and City of Toronto staff will reopen the historic Palm House located within the conservatory at Allan Gardens.
Date: Wednesday, May 14
Time: 9 a.m.
Location: Allan Gardens Conservatory Palm House, 160 Gerrard St. E.
RSVP: Media are asked to RSVP to media@toronto.ca by 6 p.m.
Parking: Street parking is available.
Note: Media are welcome to visit the open house at 10 a.m. to capture b-roll.
The Palm House, built in 1860, was closed in 2022 to complete a multi-year restoration project to preserve and protect the structure’s architectural heritage fabric, while conserving the cultural heritage value and heritage attributes of the building for future generations to enjoy.
