City of Toronto to recognize 9-1-1 call-takers at annual Telecommunicator of the Year Awards
Until Friday, April 18, the City of Toronto is observing 9-1-1 Telecommunicators Week. This marks the 25th year the City’s three emergency services have celebrated the dedicated emergency telecommunicators from the Toronto Police Service, Toronto Paramedic Services and Toronto Fire Services who answer 9-1-1 calls, provide crucial support and dispatch emergency responders to fires, medical emergencies, accidents, crimes and other crises.
Date: Thursday, April 17
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Toronto Emergency Medical Services Headquarters, 4330 Dufferin St.
Note: Parking for media is available in the nearby church parking lot located at the end of Lodestar Avenue. There is no entrance to the Headquarters building directly off Dufferin Street.
