City of Toronto hosts ceremony for new Toronto Paramedic Services graduates and service awards recipients

Tomorrow, Mayor Olivia Chow and Toronto Paramedic Services Chief Bikram Chawla will welcome 55 new Primary Care Paramedics and Emergency Telecommunicators to the City of Toronto’s workforce, as part of a graduation and awards ceremony.

In addition to the recruits’ graduation, seven Paramedic Services staff will be awarded long service medals and 11 Paramedics will be awarded the Ontario Medal for Paramedic Bravery. The medal for bravery recognizes individual acts of outstanding courage and the Paramedics’ dedication and commitment to serving Toronto’s residents and visitors with exceptional pre-hospital care.

Location: Toronto Emergency Services Joint Headquarters, 4330 Dufferin St.
