City of Toronto to raise Toronto Maple Leafs flag ahead of 2024 home opener

The City of Toronto is gearing up for the 2024 NHL season as the Toronto Maple Leafs prepare for their home opener against the Pittsburgh Penguins at Scotiabank Arena on Saturday, October 12. To drop the puck on the season, a special flag-raising ceremony will take place at Toronto City Hall.

Date: Friday, October 11
Time: 10 a.m.
Location: Courtesy flagpole, Podium Roof, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street W.

Mayor Olivia Chow will be in attendance, alongside Carlton the Bear, the Maple Leafs mascot, and Toronto Maple Leafs alumnus Wendel Clark.

Buds fans are encouraged to wear their Maple Leafs gear and show their support in person. #LeafsForever
